EOS Technologies - Qatar’s recently launched business to business
on-line procurement exchange, claims its recent sponsorship of the
Energy Industry Council’s (EIC) major annual energy conference,
EIConnect06, has resulted in a number of major sales leads and potential
worldwide expansion opportunities for the company.
The conference and exhibition which took place in London at the end of
March, attracted more than 600 delegates from some of the world’s
largest energy organisations including Qatar Petroleum (QP), Saudi
Aramco and Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). As the second annual Energy
Industries Council conference; EIConnect06 is considered to be the most
well-attended and respected industry event of its kind.
The EIC is the leading Trade Association for UK companies that supply
capital goods and services to the energy industry worldwide. The largest
organisation of its kind in the UK, its Middle East office is located in
Dubai, with a further eight regional offices across the globe.
EOS Technologies is one of the fastest growing e-commerce on-line
procurement exchanges which allow members to find, compare and purchase
services or products, while also being able to list their own products
and services to prospective clients, using nothing more than a standard
web browser.
Giuseppe Conti, CEO of EOS Qatar said, “Much of our new and existing
business is related to the energy sector, so we understood the
importance of having a major presence at EIConnect06. With large Middle
East offices located in Qatar, Dubai and Oman, EOS has been of huge
benefit to many organisations based in these and the surrounding energy
producing countries. We were able to communicate these successes to
delegates and attendees at the conference, which was very well
received.”
Also representing EOS at EIConnect06 was Alan Livingston, CEO, EOS
Technologies and Sami Razek, VP Marketing and Partner Operations, EOS
MENA.
EOS have recently launched their Qatar operation which is expected to
have over 10,000 members by the end of 2006; further strengthening their
position as e-procurement industry leaders.
Conti concluded, “The conference provided us with the opportunity to
network, listen to information on energy industry trends and most
importantly demonstrate the importance of the management of procurement
processes amongst energy companies worldwide. We look forward to next
year!”
